What is the difference between Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm F/2.8G ED VR II and Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR? Find out which is better and their overall performance in the camera lens ranking.
The NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 is the lightest, most nimble full-frame f/2.8 telephoto zoom we've ever created. It's over 40% lighter and smaller than the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S with a smaller diameter. This is a go-to lens for being on-the-go.
Mar 20, 2019. #14. Consider the Tamron 70-200 G2. After debating over the Nikon 70-200 f/4 and 70-300 AF-P (FX) I decided to get the Tamron for the f/2.8 aperture and to save a little over the Nikon f/4. The Tamron is a great lens, on par with, or just slightly behind Nikon’s 70-200 FL, depending on the reviewer.
What is the difference between Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR and Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm F/4G ED VR? Find out which is better and their overall performance in the camera lens ranking.
For someone used to handling an 80-200 F2.8 for 20 years, picking up the 70-200F4 was just amazing - what a nice small light package! While I have the Holy Trinity of F2.8 zooms (14-24, 24-70 and 70-200), I can certainly appreciate the size benefit of the F4 trinity of 16-35, 24-120 and 70-200 zooms.

NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 @ 58mm, ISO 64, 1/20, f/4.0. As for build quality and handling, the 24-70mm f/2.8 is definitely more advanced. The main benefit is that you get more controls on the 24-70mm f/2.8, including a function button and an additional control ring. The 28-75mm f/28 is an extremely sparse lens by comparison.

Build Quality and Design. The Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens is bigger, faster, and heavier than the f/4 version for the mirrorless system, but is still smaller (one inch) in length than the F-mount
It's more flexible than the 180mm, faster than the F4 and insanely good at everything. Due to the focus breathing of the 70-200 VRII I still view the older VR1 version as the best "portrait zoom." The issues with the VRI and FX are WILDLY overstated and really of no significance for portraits and most everything else.
I can not really decide between the Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-D (new, ring version) and the Tokina AF 80-200mm f/2.8 AT-X 828 AF PRO lenses. I would use it on a D800 (so it has a fast and strong AF motor) mainly for portraits and events. I already have a Nikon 50mm 1.8G prime and a Sigma 24-70 2.8DG macro to go along with. The Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is the perfect case in point. As for the rest of the build quality features, the Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S has excellent weather and dust sealing, including a rubber seal along the lens mount. Nikon has been publishing x-ray style illustrations of the weather sealing for their recent Z lenses, including for the 14-24mm The Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/4G ED VR is Nikon’s newest addition to the popular range of 70-200mm zooms. But this time it is not a replacement for an older lens but an alternative to the top of the range AF-S 70-200/2.8G ED VR. Both lenses are compatible with full-frame DSLRs and feature vibration reduction to counteract camera shake. .
