The power difference wasn't huge, but I could tell the difference. I know the 328i has a GM automatic while the 335i has one made by ZF which is considered a much better transmission in terms of smoothness, shift times and responsiveness. It's possible the 330i also had the ZF but I'm not sure.

218 posts · Joined 2009. #16 · Oct 6, 2009. the 328xi is also going to weigh a good bit more which will affect mpgs and performance. i think the stat is about a 2-3 worse mpg. not sure about the performance number, but you can always tell the difference when were talking a couple hundred pounds extra on/in the car.
